The History of Flaman:
A Unique Past . . .
A Unique Future . . .

The Flaman organization began in 1959 by founder Frank Flaman.  He started by selling grain bins on his farm in Southey, Saskatchewan.  Today, his once small business serves several provinces with multiple locations and a combined staff of well over 100 people.

But how did a small one-man operation grow into such a successful company?  It’s simply really: Frank listens to his customers, sees what they need and then supplies those products at a reasonable price.  To many, it is a unique concept to have a business actually listen to what the consumer wants instead of telling the consumer what they need.  This unique philosophy is why Flaman carries such a diverse line of products.

The newest foray for Flaman delves into the high-tech world of surveillance.  Again a need was recognized and fulfilled.  Crime in the rural areas is increasing at an alarming rate due to reduced policing and delayed reaction times.  Farmers have decided to take matters into their own hands.  As one farmer puts it: “I have far too much money tied up in the machinery, fuel, tools, and livestock in my yard not to be concerned with who, when and why someone is on my property.”

With these new product lines, the Flaman customer base is no longer limited to just farmers; urban residents, businesses, schools, community associations, etc. also benefit from the products provided by Flaman.

Frank’s unique philosophy has allowed the company to move in to the new millennium with strength, preparation, and the ability to meet the challenges that lie
ahead.  We invite you now to enter the unique world of Flaman and see first hand the range of products provided.
